How do I use it in my classroom?

I know Application Software can sound far-out and perhaps irrelevant to teaching, but it is quite the opposite. Application software is designed to specific tasks that assist function.
We can use application software to streamline our daily tasks as teachers and even use them to facilitate assessments and assignments.
Examples of Application Software
- Microsoft Word can be used to type up assessments, test, assignments. It can even be used to collaborate with other teachers by enabling others to edit it after it has been shared.
- PowerPoint can be used to create slide shows for your lessons
- Excel can be used for those pesky little admins jobs, to process and analyse data.
- Websites are also handy to use as they may have additional features and functionality options that can streamline work.
- Google has it's own version of Microsoft Office, called Google Suite which is extremely efficient and caters to a wide range of needs, from creating documents to having virtual lessons with your kids.
However, it is important to note that there are obviously disadvantages to using application software. The main one being it's dependence on an internet connection, as well as the speed and quality of that connection.
Overall, they are perfect for making your digital workspace more efficient and effective.
